The Northwest Vista College Literary Magazine, The Lantana Review, is looking for interested students, faculty, and staff to work for the magazine. This is not a class, and therefore no credit is received, but it is a great addition to resumes and curriculum vitae.
The Advocacy Center is conducting weekly workshops to help students improve their reading and writing skills. Each week the workshops will have a different theme. For example, next week (Feb. 15-Feb 19) we will cover writing prompt analysis and thesis statements, and the week after that we will cover setting goals.
The Sagebrush Review, UTSA's Literary and Art Journal, is currently accepting submissions from all San Antonio college/university students. Open catagories include, poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, art (photography,drawings, comics, etc.), collaboration (multiple students working on one project), and multimedia.
