Tips from NVC's Professors

Summer is almost here! Every day our campus seems to be growing and becoming more beautiful and vibrant. On my daily commute to and from classes, I can't help but notice students wearing short sleeve tops, shorts, flip-flops, and sneakers.. The beautiful spring weather that came in a much needed cool breeze, gives most of us at Northwest Vista a breath of fresh air.

Movie Review: The Wrestler

The Wrestler I should warn you: this film is one hell of a downer. That said; I could watch Mickey Rourke talk shop with people and struggle to breathe for hours. His performance is truly amazing to watch, and I was really hoping he would get the Oscar for this one.

Movie Review: Watchmen

Watchmen Watchmen is a tough film to call. As a fan of the graphic novel, the first time I saw it there were a couple things I didn't like about the movie. For instance, the ending has drastically changed, but this alternate ending makes sense since the novel's original ending wouldn't translate easily to film, and would have required an hour more of plot to an already three hour movie.

Gran Torino This is (supposedly) Clint Eastwood's last movie, but Jet Li said the same thing way back when he made "Fearless", and we all know how long that lasted. If it is Eastwood's final entry, though, Gran Torino is a hell of a way to end a career.

Two Students Spotted

The Vista Voice spots two students on campus. The first was located at sitting outside Juniper Hall. The second was located sitting near the Vista Lago (Lake) enjoying a treat. If you see a student, notify the Vista Voice immediately.
