Amazon Second Generation Fire Phone Coming in 2016

When Amazon said that the company is working on developing a smartphone, the technological industry was very excited and was eager to see what it would be like.

Amazon has released the very best e-readers, so many people assumed that the phone they were making was going to be something very special. However, the smartphone was a complete failure, both critically and financially.

Now, the online giant has stated that they will enter the market for mobile handsets once again, and will attempt to make up for their previous mistakes with the launch of the Fire Phone 2.

Experts are theorizing already about the next attempt by Amazon to enter the mobile device field.

They say it could end in two ways. The phone could be a great success in the smartphone market or another complete flop like the last phone released by Amazon.

Others believe the company should just halt their attempt to make a smartphone because a mobile handset might not be their expertise.

One reason the first smartphone that was released was not a hit was its price point. When it was released into the market, the cost for the phone was $649. People were not happy with the specifications and did not think that the Amazon device was as good as the iPhone and should not have a price near that of the Apple smartphone.

After 2 months of the phone being in the market, and following its poor popularity and sales, the price for the device was steeply discounted to $230 for the version that was unlocked.

Currently the phone can be obtained with a contract for around a dollar.

Although the retailer for online products has not yet released any information on the price and design for the new smartphone, they have released some details about the phone to the public. The software is going to include a myriad of updates. The bugs found in the first Fire Phone will be ironed prior to the release of the second generation.

Amazon also stated that the phone is going to have an update for language, making it possible to translate text from German, Spanish, Italian, French and English.
