People Magazine Names Lupita Nyong’o as Most Beautiful Person

Lupita Nyong’o the actress who is 31 years of age was awarded on Wednesday one of the most prestigious honors for celebrities. The Oscar winner earlier this year, was crowned as the Most Beautiful in this year’s People Magazine edition.

The magazine announced the winner of their prestigious honor on Wednesday morning. Nyong’o said that she was excited to grace the cover of the magazine and called the honor a huge compliment.

The actress, who is 31, has proved over the last year without a doubt that she is beautiful not only on the outside, but also on the inside.

Nyong’o was given a massive amount of attention for her red carpet look that turned heads left and right. She also was admired and respected for her moving speech after winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her 12 Years a Slave role.

The beautiful actress was born in Mexico, however she was raised in Kenya. She told People magazine that her views early in life on beauty had been swayed by what see watched on the television.

She said, all she can remember seeing was long, straight flowing hair on light skin. That caused her to subconsciously start to appreciate more the things she did not possess than what she really was.

Nyong’o said that Dorothy her months always told her that she was beautiful and at some point in her youth, she finally started to believe what her mother said was true.

The actress said the best beauty compliment she ever received was when she was called exceptionally beautiful when she did not have an ounce of makeup on.

She added that not only did she not have makeup on but also, she had not combed her hair or slipped into a pretty dress and she still was called beautiful.

However, what is most important to the actress is happiness and at this point, she has much of that in her life.

The Most Beautiful People magazine issue will hit nationwide newsstands on Friday.
